Rheumatoid arthritis—long feared as one of the most disabling types of arthritis—has been a primary focus of rheumatologic research over the last 25 years. Recent years have shown dramatic advances in the basic understanding of RA, including targeted treatment, but many questions still remain.
What are the causes?
Why does RA affect people differently?
Will the next generation of patients need to take medication indefinitely?
How do we cure this complex and troubling disease?
The American College of Rheumatology Research and Education Foundation launched Within Our Reach: Finding a Cure for Rheumatoid Arthritis—an unprecedented $30 million national campaign to fund cutting-edge RA research that is not being done elsewhere—which will lead to the medical breakthroughs necessary to find a cure for RA.
To learn more about investing in RA research, please contact the REF at REF@rheumatology.org or at (404) 633-3777.
One hundred percent of all funds raised for Within Our Reach will go directly to the innovative research necessary to find a cure for RA
